Stipendium Hungaricum students were invited to an end-of-the-year trip and informal discussion with Ágnes Pál and Tamás Demény. The route was designed to show them one of the nicest places in Budapest, the mountaneous area around Normafa and Erzsébet lookout-tower, as well as to experience the unique vehicles of the cog-wheel railroad and the children-operated narrow-gauge train. Participating students were amazed at the beautiful scenery, these special modes of transportation, and the view of Budapest from the lookout-tower. As they were Tourism-Catering students, they appreciated the touristic significance of this area of Budapest, which none them has known about previously. Unfortunately, the original date of June 9 came with a huge rain and thunder, so the trip had to be postponed to a later day. But a group of very enthusiastic students could come on the 13th, and it was agreed to organize similar future hiking trips. The plan is to organize walking / hiking programs for both foreign and Hungarian students on a regular basis starting with September. The nice day closed with a coffee and some desserts, discussing the academic year’s experiences and their studies.
