Student's Union and University leadership reach concrete agreements – first package of measures announced

Decisions of the BUEB Leadership & Student Union Operational Working Group (October 20th, 2025)

  1. Students can take the end-of-semester exam with any midterm test result (no minimum requirement)
  2. There will be resit test opportunities for the recommended grades, too
  3. Resit test opportunities can be taken in the exam period, too
  4. Extended exam period (possible days: December 22nd-23rd & 29th-30th)
  5. No Neptun request fees for course-related issues in this semester
  6.   Academic departments can authorise the use of further tools (paper, calculator, support materials etc.) in the Exam Centre
  7. Opportunity will be provided for making notes by hand in the Exam Centre
  8. Academic departments can still organise assessments outside the Exam Centre
  9. Faculty members to revise tests to meet the circumstances of the Exam Centre
  10. Further elective courses will be available in this semester during the upcoming Intensive week and also online

Topics to be discussed during the next meetings: 

a/ enhancing the processes of the Student Services (e.g. reply in 3 working days in certain cases), 

b/ infrastructural issues, 

c/ reviewing the assessment workload at the Exam Centre, 

d/ the methods of practice-oriented educational approach, 

e/ requirements related to foreign languages, 

f/ further developing the Programme Guides for each cohort of the various academic programmes, 

g/ dissertations and final exams
