Papers are peer-reviewed by two anonymous referees and are published only if they are unanimously supported. The editors are selected by the Editor-in-Chief from among the members of the Editorial Board and recognised experts in the field. The editor does not know the identity of the author, nor does the author know the identity of the editor. If the reviewer recommends a major revision, the revised manuscript based on the reviewer's opinion will be sent to the reviewer again for approval.
The final, edited version of the manuscript is always sent by the editorial office to the author for approval. Once the paper has been approved by the author, no further changes can be made. At this point, it is still possible to modify or withdraw the manuscript by notifying the Editor-in-Chief. Modifications are approved by the Editor-in-Chief. Once the final approval has been given, no modifications or retractions of a paper are possible, but the editorial office always provides the possibility for the author to publish clarifications or corrections in a separate article in Prosperitas.
