If you would like to try something new, the dragon boat is the place for you!
Rowing in a dragon boat is completely safe even for inexperienced water hikers and children, as the dragon boats are stable and do not capsize even in the waves of the Danube.
Tour description:
Meeting at 9:00 a.m. in Dunakeszi (Dunakeszi 2120, Liget utca 1.) on the Danube bank, where after explaining the basics of water hiking and distributing life jackets, we will start the tour in a dragon boat (those with good swimming skills can skip the life jacket by declaring on the spot).
Against the current of the Danube, we row in the direction of Vác to the sand island of Göd, where during the day we will have the opportunity to play volleyball and soccer, and thanks to the PSZF SE, enjoy a light lunch prepared in a pot. Then, after the rest, we board the dragon boat again and row back to Dunakesi in the same direction as the current of the Danube, while the boats compare their speed in a competition. The duration of the tour is approximately 4-5 hours. Return to the boathouse no later than 2 p.m.
Clothing:
It is advisable to get on the water in comfortable clothing suitable for water sports, depending on the weather (swimsuit, t-shirt, sweater, shorts and long pants, hat) and of course, what else can come in handy: sunscreen, bench seat, towel, food and drink. Footwear: You can board the dragon boat in sports shoes, sandals, slippers, but in warm weather you can even go barefoot. Clothing and shoes may even get wet during rowing (from splashes that may occur during more intense shoveling), so a change of clothes is recommended! We can take the bags with us in a waterproof bag on the ship.
