About the Programme

The purpose of the International Studies programme is to train experts who can orient themselves in international political, economic and diplomatic relations and adequately represent national and regional interests; are responsive to global problems and open to learning about other cultures; and can maintain and develop international relations in governmental, administrative and non-governmental organizations.

If You choose this Programme....

Students graduating from the Bachelor’s programme of International Studies can

  • use concepts, theories and methods related to international relations;
  • creatively solve problems and flexibly deal with complex international tasks;
  • use information on the legal and institutional structure of the European Union and on the development of integration;
  • maintain international relations at domestic or international corporate, governmental and non-governmental organizations, thanks to their possession of international political, economic, diplomatic and European Union-related knowledge.

Content of the Programme

Social sciences basics:
(e.g. History of the World and Europe, Political Science, Sociology, Basics of Law, Basics of Public Administration and Public Service, Economics)

Methodology and skills development:
(e.g. Presentation skills development, Special language of international relations)

Professional studies linked to international studies:
(e.g. History and institutions of international relations and diplomacy, Economic and Cybersecurity, World Economy and International Trade, Techniques of International Relations and Negotiations, Theory and Practice of Diplomacy, International Etiquette and Protocol, Enterprises in Domestic and International Environments, Work and Career at International Institutions and Enterprises, Competences and Policies of the EU; EU Programme and Project Management.)

Furthermore, it is also possible to acquire advanced professional language skills in two foreign languages, in 4 classes per week in 3 semesters for each language.

Career opportunities

  • At those units of ministries, government bodies, public institutions and international organizations which deal with international and European Union issues;
  • An local governments, at companies and in the entrepreneurial sector, in possession of their knowledge of European Union affairs;
  • At institutions and companies specializing in European Union tendering and project management.
