Introduction

I graduated with a master’s degree in History from Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Philosophy in 2002 and Politology in 2003 with an excellent mark. In 2006, I was granted a specialised degree in European Studies at Corvinus University of Budapest, Faculty of Social Sciences, Budapest Institute for Graduate International and Diplomatic Studies (BIGIS). In 2004, I was admitted to Corvinus University of Budapest International Relations Multidisciplinary Doctoral School. I defended my thesis in 2011. The title of my dissertation was “International autonomy models and minority question. The Catalan regional autonomy and its experiences”. From 1st September 2010, I work as full-time lecturer at Budapest Business School, Faculty of International Management and Business, Department of International Relations. From 1st March 2016, I work as full-time Senior Research Fellow at the same Department. Between 15 September 2017 and 30 June 2018, I was mandatory Head of Department of International Relations. I speak four languages: English, German, French and Spanish. I give lectures in English German and Spanish and published articles in scientific journals. Subjects that I teach at Budapest Business School are the following: EU-integration studies, European Common Policies (in English and Hungarian), World and European History, and Politology I-II (in Hungarian), Business environment in the EU (in English and German), Hungary’s foreign policy and its external economic relations (in English). I am both announcer of research topic and supervisor at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Doctoral School of Earth Sciences. My research focuses on the evaluation of European integration and international autonomy models. Besides these topics my research fields involve the European and Latin American policy of the Mediterranean countries (France, Spain and Portugal) as well as to analyse the economic history of Central and Eastern Europe during the inter-war period and after World War II, including the reasons of economic backwardness. In 2012, I was guest lecturer at the Universidad San Pablo CEU by the Erasmus Mobility Programme. In 2012, I was awarded a DAAD-scholarship in Hamburg Europa Kolleg Institute for European Integration. During my scholarship I dealt with the impacts of the financial transfers of the EU on Hungary and Germany. In 2017, I habilitated at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Humanities, Interdisciplinary Doctoral School, Europe and the Hungarians in the 18-20th Centuries Doctoral Subprogramme. The title of my habilitation thesis was the following: “Economic history of Central and Eastern Europe in the inter-war period. Semi-periphery and isolation from the world economy”. In 2016, I was awarded with scientific excellence by Budapest Business School Faculty of International Management and Business in the category of scientific article. In 2018, I was awarded with scientific excellence by Budapest Business School Faculty of International Management and Business in the category of monograph. From 2012 onwards, I am member of the public body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. From 2013 onwards, I am member of the Hungarian Foreign Policy Association. From 2017 onwards, I am member of the Hungarian Economic Association International Economics Section. I regularly take part both in domestic and international conferences. From 2018 onwards, I am member of the Editorial Board Geopolitika and Köztes-Európa scientific journals.
