Dear Students,
With the launch of the University’s Examination Centre, several new changes to the assessment process have been introduced. We recommend that you prepare thoroughly for your tests in advance so that you can take your exams with confidence. In order to support you in this, we would like to share some useful information with you.
1. Mid-term Tests and End-term Tests, and Examination Calendar
In our mid-term, end-term and exam calendar, you can see on which days you can take your mid-term tests, end-term tests, make-up tests, or exams in each of your courses. You can find the mid-term, end-term test and exam calendar on the BUEB’s website at the following link: https://uni-bge.hu/en/for-students/examcalendar
2. Campus
Please, check at which campus your assessment is going to take place. This information is also available in the CoSpace platform. The Examination Centre in the city centre (belváros in Hungarian) is located in the basement of the Campus in Alkotmány Street, while the Examination Centre in Zugló is located in the basement of the Campus in Buzogány Street.
3. Signing up on CoSpace
Please, keep in mind that from now on you will need to sign up also for your mid-term tests. You can do this on CoSpace, in the course scene.
4. In the Examination Centre
You may enter the Examination Centre 20 minutes before the start of your test, and you can take a seat in the waiting room. Our staff will inform you through loudspeakers when you may enter the examination area. Always have a suitable means of identification with you (ID card, passport, driver’s license, student ID card). Without identification, your test cannot be taken. Furthermore, please make sure to know all necessary information related to your test or exam (Neptun code, university e-mail address and corresponding password) so that you can complete the tests and exams as smoothly as possible.
The TV displays in the waiting rooms and exams rooms will show your Neptun code and your assigned workstation. The letters indicate the campus (i.e. Z means Zugló Campus, B means City Campus), the number after the letter indicates the exam room. The first digit after the hyphen indicates the row in the exam room, while the second and third digits indicate the exam station within that row. (Therefore, e.g. Z1-101 means the Examination Centre at the Zugló Campus, exam room 1, row 1 and workstation 1).
Please note that there are no toilets or vending machines in the area of the Examination Centre. These are available outside the Examination Centre, but on the University’s premises.
At the Examination Centre, a “one-way street system” has been introduced. Accordingly, you may leave the waiting room area and come back to the University’s premises, but after you have entered the examination area, you may only proceed towards the exit.
5. During tests and exams
The Examination Centre will provide all necessary devices and applications for your assessment. Therefore, during tests and exams, phones must be switched off and stored in your bag. The use of any communication devices is prohibited including the use of smartwatches and other smart devices. You are also requested to store your own calculator in your bag.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we wish you good luck with your tests and exams!
