Welcome from the Dean

Dear Visitor, 

At the Faculty of Management of Budapest University of Economics and Business, we work with a mindset where student-centeredness, performance approach, and continuous development are inseparable. We believe in a higher education system that not only transmits knowledge, but also builds a thinking community, encourages independent opinion formation, and supports the development of responsible, reflective professionals. 

Our goal is for our graduating students to understand organizational and social processes at a systemic level, navigate the challenges of the present, and actively shape the future. They strive to create value in their professional careers, workplaces, and communities as well.  

The Faculty of Management offers a diverse educational portfolio in the field of business and organizational sciences: in addition to our undergraduate programs, we welcome both Hungarian and international students to our master’s programs, postgraduate courses, and doctoral training. A common feature of our academic programs is that they provide knowledge valued in the labor market and offer opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, all supported by the Faculty’s extensive research activities and strong corporate partnerships. 

We consider it essential that our students enjoy a genuine university experience. This is supported by professional workshops, research opportunities, and inspiring student groups. We facilitate students’ integration into the community through a mentoring program, which provides support for their adjustment from the very first semester. 

I believe that the community of the Faculty of Management, its faculty and students alike, creates an environment where knowledge, learning, and development are valued, and to which it feels good to belong.

Introduction to the Faculty of Management

The Faculty of Management at Budapest University of Economics and Business is committed to educating the future leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizational professionals. Our goal is to equip our students with up-to-date knowledge and practical tools to succeed in an ever-changing economic environment. 

We are building an organizational environment and a cohesive community in which knowledge, learning, and development are regarded as core values. Through high-quality education and research, we support the development of responsible and reflective professionals who have a positive impact on their environment and are capable of shaping their future. 

 

 

 

The Faculty’s four departments, Human Resource Development, Process Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Leadership and Organization, collaborate closely to deliver high-quality, practice-oriented education. 

  • The Department of Human Resource Development focuses on supporting people-centered organizational operations based on learning and development. 
  • The Department of Process Management offers solutions that enhance corporate process efficiency and value creation through the use of quantitative methods and modern management technologies. 
  • The Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation aims to inspire students to launch their own businesses and to strengthen the innovation mindset in both the domestic and international business arenas. 
  • The Department of Leadership and Organization teaches leadership approaches, modern management models, and organizational strategies, preparing students for effective governance and leadership roles. 

The academic community of the Faculty of Management contributes to the continuous renewal of knowledge through active research and corporate collaborations. We tailor our educational programs to labor market demands to ensure that our students gain competitive knowledge and strong employment prospects.
