From the BGE point of view, the world competition started with the participation of water polo players. The men's national team was also strengthened by two of our young students. Gergő Fekete and Vince Vigvári were also members of the traveling squad, and they showed good form throughout the group matches. Vince scored seven times, while Gergő scored three times during the three group matches against Romanian, Italian and Kazakh opponents. After the group victory, the next match was in the quarter-finals against France, where the Hungarian team ended up losing 11-10, so only 5-8. could continue fighting for one of the places. In the first match of the qualifiers, the opponent was Serbia, which already suggested a big battle. The Hungarian national team lost the match by one goal, and Vince had one goal among the ten hits. To win the seventh place, the Hungarians will have to jump into the pool with Montenegro.

Although the paper format prevailed and TF advanced, they made their job more difficult, the visitors could see two high-quality matches, where it was often impossible to tell who would be happy at the end of the sets.
