Fill in the renewed and now shorter Student Opinion on Teaching and Learning (’OMHV’) form for each of your course instructors between May 19 and July 11, 2025 and as a thank you, the course registration will be open for you one day earlier at the end of August.
Why is this feedback important for the instructor?
Because student feedback can provide input for identifying possible directions or even room for improvement in the teaching work and for designing training programmes for instructors. In addition, your opinion is a good guideline for subject and curriculum development, and will help students in the years to come.
We ask you to support the lecturers, and as well as your current and future fellow students, to be able to listen to courses with improved topics.
Of course, you can give your opinion anonymously and the renewed, shorter questionnaire now consists of only 6 questions and takes just a few minutes to complete.
How do I complete the questionnaire?
First you will receive a Neptun message when the questionnaire is available.
You can complete the questionnaire at any time between May 19 and July 11.
What to look out for when filling in the form?
- Before filling in the form, make sure you are filling it for the instructor who taught the course! Filling in the questionnaire incorrectly (for the wrong instructor) can distort the results and thus the credibility of the evaluation!
- The renewed, shorter, and more targeted ’OMHV’ questionnaire now consists of 6 questions. This semester, it opens alongside the exam period and remains available until July 11, giving you plenty of time to complete it thoughtfully.
- It’s important to note that a partially completed questionnaire cannot be resumed later. Therefore, once you begin filling out the questionnaire for a specific course, make sure to answer all the questions and click the 'Submit' button to complete it.
- A rating scale is used to express both student needs and instructor excellence: the middle of the scale represents a level just below your expectations and the highest value represents a very outstanding instructor performance.
- Successful course completion is a joint achievement of yourself and your instructor! Completing the questionaires is a good opportunity to think about what you did/could have done and what the instructor could have done to contribute to your success.
- If you rate something as below expectations, it is important that you justify your assessment, because we can make changes once we understand exactly what the problem is!
- If you feel you have not gained enough experience to judge an item, please select the "I cannot judge" response option!
- Even if you have not attended to all the classes, you may have some experience and may be able to form an opinion on some areas (e.g. the course surface)!
- The evaluation only covers the course and the work of the teacher, and does not cover topics such as the teacher's world view, religious beliefs, national, ethnic, racial, gender identity, personality, appearance, personal life, public activities!
- May your experience be positive or negative, it is important to give ethical, responsible and fair feedback as a student!
Don’t forget! If you complete the questionnaire, you’ll be able to start registering for courses 24 hours earlier than other students during the course registration period for the 2025/26 fall semester. However, to receive this benefit, you must fill out the questionnaire for every course that appears in Neptun!
