Lectures 10.04.2025 (Thursday) - online (in Hungarian)

The importance of early sun protection for skin health

Presentor: Dr. Mónika Sápy

The increasing incidence of melanoma malignum (malignant skin cancer) has made sun protection a priority, as the primary cause of the development of the cancer is skin damage caused by UV radiation. In addition, UV radiation is also a primary cause of the flare-up or deterioration of several dermatological diseases, as well as premature skin aging. Due to the wide range of sunscreens and the many misconceptions spread in various media, a dermatological professional recommendation helps patients navigate more easily.

Excessive fatigue, increased fatigue despite adequate sleep. Mood swings, malaise, irritability, depression. What could be the reason?

Presenter: Dr. Beatrix Skurdenka, internist-endocrinologist

Fatigue can also be a physiological symptom, in which case it is a defensive reaction of the body, we are forced to rest to prevent excessive exhaustion. In addition to the physiological cause (physical or mental strain, lack of sleep, pregnancy), the symptom may also have a pathological cause, an illness, and we can even talk about chronic fatigue syndrome.

Depression, fatigue, mood swings are the cruel game of hormones and can also be signs of serious illnesses. It happens that we become irritable or hypersensitive for no reason. Mental problems are often caused by illnesses.
