A Budapesti Gazdasági Egyetem – Alkalmazott Tudományok Egyeteme (BGE) Magyarország első számú üzleti képzést nyújtó egyeteme, mely a gazdaságtudomány területén közel 17.000 hallgatót képez. A magas szintű és nemzetközi tudományos tevékenység jelentős részben a BGE által létrehozott Kiválósági Központokban zajlik.
Az Egyetem egyik Kiválósági Központjaként is működő Budapest LAB Vállalkozásfejlesztési Központ 2017-ben indította el a Családi Vállalkozás Kutatási Programot, amely Magyarországon elsőként összpontosított a gazdaság ezen ágazatára. 2020 óta a BGE a Global Entrepreneurship Monitor hazai partnere, a kutatás központja az egyetemen belül szintén a Budapest LAB-ben van. Nagy örömünkre szolgál, hogy ezáltal ismét lesznek magyar adatok a világ legnagyobb vállalkozás kutatásában.
A kiemelten fontos kutatási terület nemzetközi tapasztalatainak megismerésére 2021. március 10-én megrendezésre kerül a Közép-és Kelet-Európai Családi Vállalkozás Kutatás Workshop, ahol a régió családi vállalkozásokkal foglalkozó vezető kutatói beszélnek kutatási eredményeikről.

Budapest University of Economics and Business (BUEB) is the number one business training university in Hungary, with nearly 17,000 students in Economics. The high-level and international scientific activity takes place to a large extent in the Centres of Excellence established by BBS.
Budapest LAB Entrepreneurship Centre, which also operates as one of the Centres of Excellence of the University, launched the Family Business Research Program in 2017, which is the first project in Hungary to focus on this sector of the economy. From 2020, BBS is the Hungarian partner of Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), and the research center within the university is also Budapest LAB. We are pleased that there will be Hungarian data again in the largest ongoing study of entrepreneurial dynamics in the world.
In order to get to know international experiences in this key research area, the Central and Eastern European Family Business Research Workshop will be held on March 10, 2021, where leading researchers will share their research findings on family businesses in their area.
