Rövid tartalom | "Why is it that a worker may turn to his colleagues instead of his manager for advice? Is it simply a question of knowledge, or something more? Why do organization charts not show the real collaborations and competitions between employees? Why is it that even the best-planned strategies fail? This course will explore the answers to these and many other questions, in an attempt to prepare students for how organizations work, to reduce the shock of the reality, and understand the reasons why even the best ideas don’t always go to plan. The course will enable students to understand the nature of organizational culture as it evolves and the tools and techniques which they can use to help a culture progress to a higher level. The course is with modules building on one another and marks will be given based upon participation in discussions and case studies. Each part of the module is 2 x 45 minutes. Self-preservation and avoiding conflict: persona, toxic leadership, and defence mechanisms: an introduction to the blame corporate culture 3 Ways forward: developing beyond the blame corporate culture, tools and techniques for progressing to the next level 4 That’s not my job! The jobsworth mindset, fragmentation and subcultures. Can an organization have a single culture? An introduction to the multidirectional culture 5 Moving on from the multidirectional culture: tips and tricks in overcoming the mindset and fragmentation 6 If it’s not broken, don’t fix it! Strategic inertia, cognitive biases and keeping the status quo: the live and let live culture. 7 Getting out of the comfort zone and beyond live and let live mindsets 8 Live what you believe and believe what you say: authenticity and transparency in organizations.
