Physical Accessibility

Within our educational infrastructure, a mix of modern and heritage buildings presents occasional challenges. Nonetheless, each building is equipped with an accessible entrance, and with the exception of our Berzsenyi Street location, wheelchair-accessible lifts are available throughout. We advise students facing visual or hearing impairments, mobility challenges, or those utilizing wheelchairs to reach out to the Equality Expert at BUEB after successful admission. They can gain insights into the characteristics of each building and inquire about available discounts.

To enhance our institution's physical accessibility, we conduct internal expert examinations and collaborate with external partners. In 2022, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting building underwent an assessment by Access4You, a social start-up, resulting in the award of the Access4You certificate. Assessments for other educational buildings at BUEB are ongoing, with audits for the Alkotmány Street, Markó Street, and the main building of the Diósy Lajos Street campus completed in 2023. In 2024 all our educational campuses are audited.

Within all three BUEB dormitories, ground-floor accessible rooms are available to accommodate students with disabilities. The Equality Expert at BUEB is available to assist with administrative matters related to this.

Digital Accessibility

We are continuously updating and enhancing our website to align with evolving technologies, ensuring it remains accessible and user-friendly for everyone. The review and necessary improvements are anticipated to be completed by the end of 2023.

The schedule for reviewing assistive programs, software used in courses, and learning-facilitating programs is outlined in the Equality Plan of BUEB.
