March 30, 2026
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - Become an Ambassador for the BUEB Pannónia Programme!

Purpose of the Call

The purpose of this call is to select one Hungarian and one international ambassador for the BUEB Pannonia Scholarship Programme. Between April and June 2026, the selected ambassadors will actively represent both the university and the Pannonia Programme.

They will be responsible for creating video content (filming, subtitling, and editing), participating in university and external events (e.g. roundtable discussions, conferences, open days), and producing additional content for BUEB’s Hungarian and English social media platforms. Their work will contribute to increasing the visibility of both the university and the Pannonia Programme, as well as boosting the number of outgoing students.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the BUEB Pannonia Ambassador Programme must:

  • have previously participated in a mobility programme under the Pannonia Programme during their university studies
  • be full-time students with an active student status,
  • be enrolled in one of BGE’s faculties,
  • have sufficient availability to participate in events related to the ambassador role,
  • have experience in content creation and feel confident in front of a camera.

Implementation Period

The application deadline is 8 April 2026, followed by the evaluation of applications.

The selected BGE Pannonia Ambassadors will be announced after the evaluation process. The ambassadorial period will run from 15 April 2026 to 15 July 2026.

Responsibilities and Expectations of BGE Pannonia Ambassadors

  • Filming, subtitling, and editing videos in line with the university’s and the Pannonia Programme’s visual identity.
  • Participating in events related to mobility programmes.
  • Submitting an introduction video as part of the application, along with completing the application form.

Scholarship Amount

Ambassadors will receive a monthly scholarship, the details of which will be provided after selection.

Evaluation Process and Criteria

Applications will be evaluated by a working group consisting of colleagues from BUEB’s International Relations Office and the Communication and Marketing Office.

From the shortlisted applicants, a five-member Selection Committee (composed of the same members as the working group) will choose the two most suitable candidates.

Applicants will be notified of the decision via email within 3 working days following the decision.

The pre-evaluation of applications will be based on professional criteria, with a maximum score of 30 points.

Introduction Video – Guidelines

Purpose of the video

The goal is to get to know who you are, how you communicate, and what motivates you to become a BGE Pannonia Ambassador. This should be a relaxed yet well-thought-out introduction - it does not have to be perfect, but it should reflect your personality and enthusiasm.

Structure of the Video

Part 1 (max. 30 seconds)
Introduction - what should we know about you?

Part 2 (max. 90 seconds)
Presentation of your Pannonia mobility experience:

  • Which country and city you visited
  • Share photos and stories (storytelling)
  • Highlight a great experience or something that surprised you
  • Mention a cultural difference compared to your home country
  • What is one key thing you learned and brought back with you?

A pályázati kiírásban foglaltakat elolvastam, elfogadom. / I have read and agree to the terms of the call for proposals.

What should you include in your video?

  • Your name, field of study (faculty, programme), and your mobility destination.
(e.g. “Hi, I’m Marta Minta, a student of Commerce and Marketing, and I studied in Italy through the Pannonia Scholarship Programme.”)
  • Why did you apply to become a BGE Pannonia Ambassador?
  • What kind of content do you plan to create?
(e.g. student life, travel, culture, challenges – from what perspective would you present these?)
  • What social media experience do you have?
(Is there a platform you particularly like or use? e.g. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube – it’s completely fine if you don’t have a large following!)
  • What personal qualities make you suitable for this role?
(e.g. enthusiasm, creativity, sense of humor, attention to quality, confidence in front of the camera, etc.)

Technical recommendations

  • Vertical (portrait) format
  • Natural light or a well-lit environment
  • You can use a mobile phone – professional equipment is not required
  • Make sure you are clearly audible (preferably with minimal background noise)
  • No background music is required, but if you use any, it must be copyright-free

Production quality aspects to consider:

  • Image and sound quality – clear visuals, understandable audio
  • Editing pace – dynamic, no slow or empty parts
  • Creative solutions – use of cuts, inserts, transitions
  • Subtitles/graphics – readable, clean, not overcrowded
  • Music and overall mood – fitting and not distracting
  • Platform fit – appropriate format, length, strong opening
  • Overall impression – how professional and engaging the video is

Additional tips for applicants

  • Don’t read from a script – speak naturally, as if you were talking to your audience
  • Smile and be yourself – this is not an exam, but an opportunity
  • If you make a mistake, you don’t necessarily need to re-record – authenticity matters
  • If you prefer, you can upload your video to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link

Disqualification criteria

  • The applicant has not participated in a mobility programme within the Pannonia Scholarship Programme
  • The application is submitted after the deadline
  • The applicant is in their final semester
