Introduction
I graduated from ELTE University as a foreign language teacher (Spanish and French) in 1998. I obtained a PhD degree at the University of Szeged (2005), and a qualification of accredited professional translator at ELTE (2009). During and after my studies I have been awarded several grants for studies (Spain, Mexico) and research (Mexico, Argentina), and after finishing my studies I worked as a professional translator and manager of translation projects for several years. In 2018, I participated in a mobility for teaching and research in Malaysia, with the help of a grant by the Oriental Business and Innovation Center (OBIC) at BBS.
I started to teach at Budapest Business School in 2009 and got accredited as an examiner at BBS Language Examination Centre in 2010. As a college associate professor, I teach Spanish for specific purposes (business and tourism), intercultural communication and presentation skills development courses. After successfully coordinating “21th Century Skills in Focus – Virtual LSP Workshop”, a program that won the European Language Label award for BBS (2013), I was appointed deputy-head of the Foreign Language Department, responsible for coordinating research and international projects. In 2014, I initiated and co-organized a European Study visit, and between 2015 and 2017, I co-coordinated the ICCAGE Strategic Partnership Project at BBS. On behalf of our Faculty, I am currently involved in university-level projects, such as Erasmus+ KA103, KA107 and KA203. I am the coordinator of the international strategic partnership project CORALL (2019-22), and I coordinate the INCOLLAB (2019-2021) and LEARN & CHANGE (2021-2023) project teams at BBS. Since 2021, I work as faculty head of internationalization/ director of international affairs of the Faculty of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism.
