Introduction
After graduating from Eötvös Loránd University in German language and literature (1997) and history (1999), I began teaching German as a freelance teacher in 1999 in language schools and on language courses at diverse companies. I got first experiences in the field of tertiary education at Eötvös Loránd University and after that I worked as a German teacher at Veres Pálné Gimnázium. 1998-2007 I took part in the development of the new German secondary school-leaving examination at Országos Közoktatási Intézet. At that time my research interests included the measuring of productive skills. In February 2008 I successfully defended my PhD dissertation The Adequacy of Foreign Language Knowledge: A German language adequacy test at the ELTE Doctoral School of Education. My PhD research focused on the language knowledge required for further study at higher education institutions, and was conducted using the dual written school-leaving - admissions examination in German. I started working as a lecturer at BGF in 2009 at the Department of Languages for Business Communication. I have been an accredited examiner in German at the BGE Language Examination Centre since 2010. I deliver courses on Business German, German for Tourism and Research Methods. In 2017/2018 I led a research project on autonomy at the Institute of Languages and Communication at the Budapest Business School investigating students’ disposition towards and teachers' beliefs about autonomy. I have participated in methodology courses for teachers on cooperative language learning and coaching. At the moment I am a project manager in the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project named Corall (Coaching-oriented Online Resources for the Autonomous Learning of LSP, 2019-2021), which is coordinated by the Department of Languages for Business Communication (project leader: Ágnes Pál) and it aims at supporting autonomous language learning by developing tools and modules for LSP. My recent research interests include autonomous language learning, cooperative learning, alternative assessment and language coaching. I am a regular conference presenter, and an author of academic publications on these topics. I am a member of the Association of German Teachers in Hungary.
