Introduction

I graduated as a mathematician at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in 1990. Since then I have been working at the "University of Horticulture" in Budapest operating in a diverse institutional framework, now known as the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE). I mainly teach mathematics, statistics and biometrics, since 2005 as an associate professor. I defended my doctoral thesis in 1999 at the University of Horticulture and Food Industry with the title „Statistical process control for quality assurance in the food industry”. Between 2001 and 2015 I was also an employee of the Institute of Mental Health at Semmelweis University, and during this time I got a qualification as a mental health expert at Károli Gáspár University. My teaching duties at Semmelweis University were primarily related to research methodology subjects. I continue to be an instructor in the doctoral training there, and I am an instructor and supervisor in one of the doctoral schools at MATE. So far, I have been the co-supervisor of three, already-graduated PhD students. I have been working at Budapest University of Economics and Business Faculty of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism since 2016, as a teacher of business mathematics and statistics subjects
