Introduction
I am a psychologist and environmental communicator. I have been working at BBS since 2009. I was teaching in Hungarian and English, from higher vocational education to specialized further education to MA level, in full-time and correspondence courses, I lead teaching practices. I am the research and Student Research Societies (TDK) coordinator of the Department of Pedagogy. I actively participate in the psychological counselling of our students.
I was involved in evolving the curriculum of the Community Coordinator training. We have been working continuously on developing the training ever since. Together with my colleagues, we worked closely with the BBS Teaching Methodology Center and developed a Learning Methodology e-learning material in Hungarian and English.
I graduated from the Department of Psychology at Eötvös Loránd University with a specialization in Cognitive Psychology. I also completed my PhD studies there, in the Socialization and Social Processes program. Between 2010-2012, I obtained a Master's degree in Environmental Communication at Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
My main research field is environmental psychology. Environmental psychology examines the effects of the built and natural physical environment on people’s feelings, beliefs, and behavior. I conduct research with a variety of methodologies in the areas of environmental preference, urban environments, mental mapping, spatial syntax, VR, kindergarten space use, and political space use. I am a member of the Hungarian Society of Psychology (MPT) and the International Association of People-Environment Studies (IAPS). I have also worked closely with Anna Losonczi in a research team of architects and psychologists examining different aspects of the spatial experience. I am a founding member of the “Kör-Tér” Environmental Psychology Research Group, and we conduct joint research with members of the Centre of Excellence for Visitor Economy (CEVE) at BBS.
