Introduction

I received my degree in Russian language and literature, and German language and literature at József Attila University (Szeged) in 1988. After graduation I started my career in the Szolnok Institute of the College of Commerce and Catering, where I taught German for business and tourism purposes. In order to extend and deepen my knowledge in business, I completed a graduate course in marketing communication, and received my second degree in this field in 1993. I have completed several training courses and received grants and scholarships that enabled me to study abroad. Besides teaching, I have also worked as an escort and a consecutive interpreter.
I translated at a specialty seminar organized by Struktur- und Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft des Landkreises Teltow-Fläming GmbH in Branderburg, at an International Logistics and Industrial Informatics Symposium in Berlin (Fachhochschule Wildau), and also at the world congress of the Economic Faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University in Moscow. I organized a study trip and conference at the University of Warsaw, German Studies Faculty, College of Education Burgenland, University of Economics in Bratislava, Applied Linguistics Department, and at the University of Nagyszombat. Since 2000, I have been an accredited language examiner for the Language Examination Centre of BBS. I completed my doctoral studies at Pannon University, in the doctoral programme Communication for professional purposes: society, economics, culture. I defended my thesis summa cum laude (title: Neologisms as specialist terminology in the hotel industry. A comparison of German – Russian and German – Hungarian neologisms)). My research interests include lexicology, lexicography for professions, and corpus linguistics, especially language development tendencies. The study was made by computer concordance program after building up a corpus containing more than one million words from German, Hungarian and Russian languages. The trilingual neologism dictionary and the corpus praxis, which was created from authentic texts, enabled immediate practical using. I am a regular conference presenter at national and international conferences. Since 2018 I have been working at the Department of Languages for Business Communication at the Faculty of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism at BBS. My main ambition is to use my research results as well as my teaching experience to enhance the efficiency of language education and thus to enable students to use their language knowledge and skills to communicate efficiently and functionally in work contexts. My field of research is connected to linguistic specialties, among many others, for example contrastive vocabulary research, lexicology, pragmatics, and methodology of terminology. I regularly present my results in Hungarian conferences and also in conferences abroad in different foreign languages.
