Introduction
I graduated in English and History from the Faculty of Arts of Eötvös Loránd University Budapest in 1995. After graduation I began to teach part-time at the Department of Foreign Languages at the College of Commerce, Catering and Tourism, the predecessor of BBU FCHT. I was offered a full-time position in 1999. I mainly taught Tourism and Business English but I have participated in developing and teaching other subjects including Study Skills, Hungarian History and Culture, Business Etiquette and Protocol and Destination Country Studies. I teach the subject Nation and Identity in Europe at the International Studies MA programme at the Faculty of International Management and Business.
I completed my PhD studies summa cum laude at the Doctoral School of History of Eötvös Loránd University in 2012. My field of research is British-Hungarian diplomatic and economic relations in the 20th century.
I am an accredited examiner at the Language Examination Centre of BBU. I was a member of the editorial board and later editor-in-chief of NyelvVilág (LanguageWorld), the periodical of the department and later the institute. I have been a member of the Hungarian Historical Society since 2008 and a member of the public body of Hungarian Academy of Sciences since 2019.
I was head of the Department of Languages for Business Communication. I was appointed Vice Dean for Education on 1 February 2024. Since 1 August 2024, I have been an associate professor at the Departmant of Economics and Business Studies.
