Introduction
My name is János Debreceni, senior lecturer at the Hospitality Department of BGE KVIK. After graduating from tourism-hospitality BA from Budapest Business University in 2011, I got jobs in the hospitality industry. After a while, I became a full-time instructor at a catering vocational secondary school in Budapest, where I was responsible for the vocational internship in my last academic year. I graduated as a Teacher of Economics (MA) from the BBU again in 2013. In 2015, at the same time as I enrolled in the doctoral school, I joined the Department of Hospitality of BBU as an assistant lecturer. As a student at the Doctoral School of Economics of the Corvinus University of Budapest, I researched consumer behavior. I defended my dissertation with the title "Examination of the relationships between materialism, values, voluntary simplicity and social media use among teenagers" in 2023, with a summa cum laude rating. In 2021, I won the Sándor Demján Foundation's Business Development Research Scholarship. Within its frames, I have examined the resilience and resilience of tourism and especially catering businesses for two years. Since 2023, I have been leading the BGE Visitor Center of Excellence, with which we aim to inspire, initiate and implement research related to tourism and hospitality. In addition to the successes of the lecturers and researchers, we would like to help students who are open to this field of research and have a researcher's affinity. I regularly participate in the organization of international projects in which our students can utilize their creativity by applying new and innovative methods. In addition, as the departmental coordinator for the Scientific Student Conference, talent management is also part of my daily work. My hobby is learning the Finnish language. My wife and I are raising two children in Budapest.
