Introduction

I graduated from the University of Pannonia with a Bachelor's degree in Economics (Tourism and Hotels). I worked for a few years as a programme and travel manager in a travel agency in the countryside, then I enrolled full-time at the Budapest University of Economics (now Corvinus University), where I obtained a Master's degree in sociology and economics, specialising in public opinion research. After graduation, I worked as a tourism research manager and statistical analyst at the Szonda Ipsos Media, Opinion and Market Research Institute. I obtained my PhD in 2011 at the Corvinus University in Sociology, studying the professionalisation of tourism professions. Since 2000 I have been involved in adult education, vocational training, development and management of educational programmes. In addition, I have been involved in the design and development of national and international research, development and marketing projects, and in the evaluation and assessment of national and international tenders. At the request of university partners, project partners and personal acquaintances, I have organised and led study visits and project events in Hungary on several occasions. Most important research projects. 2.15-2015-0001 - Making Tourism Work: an Initiative for the Wellness and Tourism Sector, Leonardo Programme Coordinator and Project Manager (Project Manager), Leonardo da Vinci project, HU/06/B/F/PP-170025 - Career development survey of tourism students, qualitative study, professional researcher, DPR research. I joined the Department of Tourism Institute of the BGE in February 2015 as a full-time associate professor and since 2019 I have been working part-time at BGE. For several years, I have taught a course as an invited guest lecturer at the University of Business in Wroclav. I am an academic member of the Hungarian Sociological Association, the European Sociological Association, a public board member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Association for Marketing Education and Research (EMOK).
