Introduction
My name is Kitti Boros; I am a full-time assistant lecturer at the Department of Tourism of the Budapest Business University FCHT from 1 February 2024. I have a bachelor's and master's degree from Kodolányi János University, and I am currently pursuing PhD studies at Corvinus University of Budapest. My PhD research topic is related to analysis of business events, focusing on the individual perceptions and satisfaction of conference participants. I first encountered event management in my role at the Hungarian Convention Bureau of the Hungarian Tourism Agency, where I worked as a tourism expert between 2017 and 2021. In addition to event management tasks, I conducted research and analysis related to business events. The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), one of the leading associations in the meetings industry, awarded me as "Researcher of the Year 2018", which was a great honour for me. At the same time as I started my PhD studies, I started working as an assistant lecturer at Corvinus University of Budapest, where I taught courses that best fit my research profile, such as Introduction to Event Management, Conference Organising, MICE Tourism, Corporate Events and Festival Tourism. In addition to teaching, I attach great importance to student talent management, which I have supported by thesis writing seminars, conducting TDK research essays and mentoring demonstrators. Between 2018-21 I was a member of the team EcoVeloTour Interreg, a project on ecotourism, where my work involved managing the project's national communication and awareness-raising activities, as well as organising national and international events. In addition to the event management tasks of the project, I also carried out other conference management tasks at the university. I was part of the organising committee of the national EMOK (Hungarian Association for Marketing Education and Research) 2021 conference and the international EMAC (European Marketing Academy) 2022 conference organised by CUB. I am involved in teaching MICE Tourism and Event Management courses at the Department of Tourism of the BBU FCHT.
