Introduction
My name is Kitti Boros, and I joined the academic team of Budapest University of Economics and Business (BUEB) in early 2024. I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Kodolányi János University (KJU) and earned my PhD at Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB). In my doctoral dissertation, I examined individual perceptions and satisfaction levels among conference participants. Between 2017 and 2021, I worked as Research and Statistics Manager at the Hungarian Convention Bureau, part of the Hungarian Tourism Agency. My responsibilities included conducting research and analysis related to business events. My professional work was recognised by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), which awarded me the “Researcher of the Year 2018” title, it was a great honour for me. During my PhD studies, I held the position of Assistant Lecturer at Corvinus University of Budapest, where I taught several courses aligned with my research interests, including Introduction to Event Management, Conference Organising, MICE Tourism, Corporate Events, and Festival Tourism. In addition to teaching, I place strong emphasis on student talent development, supporting students through thesis seminars, supervising TDK research essays, and mentoring demonstrators. From 2018 to 2021, I was an active member of the EcoVeloTour Interreg project, which focused on ecotourism. My responsibilities included managing domestic communication and awareness-raising activities, as well as organising national and international events. I also carried out other conference management tasks at the university. I was part of the organising committee of the national EMOK (Hungarian Association for Marketing Education and Research) 2021 conference and the international EMAC (European Marketing Academy) 2022 conference organised by CUB. In 2024, I contributed to the coordination of the institutional Student Research Societies (TDK) competition at BUEB.
