Introduction

After my graduation from the University of Szeged with German philology and history majors in 1994, I started working at Berzsenyi Dániel Teacher Training College where I became an associate professor in 2007. I was teaching at two departments: at the Department of German my classes included
history of civilization, literary history, cultural studies, phraseology and German for business. At the Department of Communication, I was giving lectures on history of arts and aesthetics between 2005 and 2007. I was also acting as a supervisor of many theses. I also participated in some EU projects, and I was involved in the Hungarian-Austrian border projects. At the University of Magdeburg I was an Erasmus guest lecturer.
Between 2009 and 2016 l was teaching German, history, and German literature in German at Friedrich Schiller Secondary School in Pilisvörösvár, and I took part in the DSD language examinations as well.

I have been working as an assistant professor at the Department of Languages for Business Communication at BUEB FCHT. My subjects are German for business and German for Tourism and hospitality.
I did my PhD studies at the Department of Aesthetics at ELTE. The title of my dissertation was “Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and John Flaxman. Art and art theory around 1800.” and I defended it in 2004. My main research interests include the 18th century German cultural history, cultural studies, intercultural studies in particular. In the latter topic I have written quite a number of publications both in Hungary and abroad. I have also given speeches at prominent international conferences in, for instance, Vienna, Salzburg and Weimar.
