Introduction
My name is Tamás Fábián and I obtained my degree in economics from MK University of Economics in 1986. My first job was at the English-language department at the Incoming Department of IBUSZ, where I organized the programs of incoming Finnish groups. After that, I worked in the central sales department of Danubius Hotels for 17 years. First, in the position of sales manager, I dealt with prominent partners interested in leisure travel. In 1998-99, as the company's first representative in London, I was responsible for the English and Irish markets. All this within the ranks of the Danube Travel London travel agency, which was previously the London representation of IBUSZ and was purchased by Danubius. After that, again in the company's central sales, in the position of Salaes Director, I was responsible for all non-German speaking areas. I also coordinated the work of the company's foreign offices in these areas. (English, Scandinavian, Russian, Italian, French). After that, I was part of a huge project. At the beginning of 2008, I was responsible for the accommodation of the participants of the Dakar Rally organized in Hungary (1000 people, 5 locations) on behalf of the company Welcome to Hungaria. I have been teaching at BGE since 2008. As an external instructor until 2016, since then as a full-time master instructor. Meanwhile, I had courses at the Metropolitan University. My main topic is health tourism. In 2020, I was able to present on this topic at the 5th Krakow Health Tourism Conference. My book The Handbook of Health Tourism was published in 2021 by the SpringMed publishing house.
