Viola Horvath is a PhD candidate and researcher at Corvinus University, specializing in tourism marketing, with a particular focus on employee experience and career development in the tourism sector. Her research encompasses a broad spectrum of topics, including communities of practice, mentorship programs, youth engagement, social sustainability, and the role of tourism in urban development. Viola's academic work bridges practical applications and theoretical frameworks, contributing to deeper insights into how sustainable practices and talent management can shape the future of tourism. In the spring of 2024, Viola spent a semester at the University of California, Irvine, as a NEURUS research fellow. During this time, her research centered on urban development and the intersections of tourism, sustainability, and local youth community engagement, furthering her understanding of how these elements impact regional and global tourism strategies. As a visiting lecturer at Budapest Business University, she is actively involved in shaping the next generation of professionals in tourism, while her work as the founder and leader of the Protégé talent lab and mentorship program demonstrates her commitment to fostering career development among young talent in the field.
