Introduction
I obtained my university degrees as geographer specialized in landscape protection, geography teacher, English-Hungarian translator at the University of Debrecen, and as a tourism expert at the University of Pécs. In addition to my professional interest, my first place at the National Scientific Student Conference was what started me on my academic and teaching career. In Debrecen, at the Department of Landscape Protection and Environmental Geography, I first became a demonstrator and then an assistant lecturer. Between the two, I gained insight into the world of tourism research at the Research Directorate of the Hungarian National Tourist Office. From 2008, I worked for nearly ten years as a tourism and international expert in the ministries responsible for tourism management and at the government body of the sector. I returned to higher education at Budapest's Corvinus University as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Tourism and as a management consultant at the Doctoral School of Business and Management. Training and knowledge transfer have been a defining element of my career since the beginning, which I was also able to use in the business world as a trainer. My studies and work experience are combined in my research and teaching activities. Between 2019 and 2021, as a representative of the Danube-Ipoly National Park Directorate, I was the international expert of the Interreg Central Europe Centralparks WPT1 Thematic Transnational Task Force on local sustainable tourism development. I am writing my doctoral dissertation, the focus of which is the study of the tourism of the Danube Bend as a metropolitan area from a landscape-geographic point of view, at the Doctoral School of Earth Sciences of the University of Debrecen. So far, I have mainly taught on the topics of sustainable tourism developments, tourism planning and regional development, and tourist destinations. I joined the Tourism Department of the Faculty of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism at the Budapest Business School in 2022 as an assistant lecturer.
