Dr. Rita Kóris, Associate Professor of the Department of Department of Leadership and Human Resource Development of BUEB FFA and Dr. Gábor Réthi, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship of BUEB FFA, have been rewarded with the Best Lecturer Award for the 1st semester of the X-Culture International Business Program 2024.
The award is based on an assessment of 124 performance variables and a ranking process at the end of each semester. The criteria used to select the 40 award winners announced this year included overall student performance, the quality of student work, and tutor-specific contributions such as the quality of project preparation, the reliability and depth of submitted report evaluations, and additional contributions such as the organisation of webinars, participation in symposia and the development of training materials.
X-Culture is an international learning programme that has already attracted more than 80 000 students from 60 countries around the world, with nearly 6000 students per semester. Students work with the support of their teachers in online global teams, where each team member is from a different country. The teams choose and work on real international business challenges presented by real companies. At the end of the project, the teams present their results in the form of reports. The best teams will receive the X-Culture Best Team Awards, based on peer reviews. All X-Culture participants who successfully complete the project will receive a Global Collaborative Experience Certificate.
BUEB was the first in Hungary to join the programme in the spring of 2022, and since then every year around 30 Business and Management students have taken advantage of this great global learning opportunity. We have received very positive student feedback about the programme and their participation in it. This semester we will have 100 students (40 from FFA and 60 from FCHT) participating.
The recognition of our lecturers is not only a tribute to their individual achievements, but also demonstrates the commitment of the Budapest University of Economics and Business to internationally high-quality business education and practice-oriented learning. Participation in the X-Culture programme further strengthens the global links of our institution and provides an excellent opportunity for our students to gain international experience.
We are proud to congratulate Dr. Rita Kóris and Dr. Gábor Réthi for this prestigious recognition and for their outstanding academic work!
