On 22 March 2024, the Faculty of Finance and Accountancy of the Budapest Business University held its graduation ceremony in three rounds. The ceremony was attended by students who successfully passed their final exams in the autumn semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This represents 875 bachelor's, 63 master's, and 80 postgraduate students.
During the ceremony, the attendees listened to speeches from esteemed representatives of the university such as Prof. Dr. Balázs Heidrich, Rector of the Budapest Business University, and Prof. Gábor Király, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accountancy. The Rector spoke to the graduates of the Bachelor's degree programs in Human Resources, Business Informatics, Finance and Accounting. The Dean delivered a speech to the graduates of Master's degree programs. Additionally, Sándor Batizi, the outgoing President of the Faculty's Student Union, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates.
After the student swearing-in ceremony and the presentation of diplomas, prizes and awards were handed out.
The FFA Student Union Award was given to Laura Kőrösi, student of Business Administration and Management bachelor program.
Students Krisztina Iván, Judit Borbély, Bianka Hegedűs, Luca Szabó, Szonja Nagy-Varga, András Lajos Héjas, Zsombor Bozsányi, Zsolt Wikhardt, Renáta Siska, Bettina Bujdosó, Krisztián Szántai, Tamás Szilágyi, Fanni László, Julianna Virág Fatalin, Ágnes Estók, Mercédesz Horváth were awarded for their outstanding public and professional activities.
The award books and certificates of recognition for Outstanding Academic Achievement were presented to the students by Dr. Katalin Balázsiné Farkas, Deputy Dean of Education. Dominika Mercédesz Erl, Fruzsina Farkasinszki, students of Human Resources bachelor program, Eszter Faller, Zsuzsanna Faragó, Kata Orosz, students of Business Informatics bachelor program, Dóra Jakab Brigitta, Rebeka Győri, Ráchel Todorov, students of Finance and Accounting bachelor program, Petra Bihari, Anna Tóth, Viktória Varró, students of Business Administration and Management bachelor program and Mónika Bakó, student of the Management and Leadership master prgoram, Vanda Czine, student of Accounting master program, András Vető, student of Finance master program, and Marcell Pál Balázs, student of Business Development master program.
A few years ago, the Student Union of the Faculty of Finance and Accountancy established the "HONOURARY FELLOW" award, in recognition of the outstanding quality of teaching work in the given period, and the activities of those who significantly contributed to the professional development of students, paying special attention to the need to convey their knowledge to students in a clear and understandable way, and being flexible to students' individual questions.
Based on the votes of the graduates of the academic year 2023/24, Urbanics Roxána, instructor of practice is the Honorary Fellow.
The dean may award a staff member or student of a faculty department with a commendation in recognition of a sustained outstanding performance of a high standard, with a noticeable impact at the faculty level, or exemplary cooperation. In recognition of her work, the Dean awarded the Dean's Commendation Award to Dr. Boglárka Szijártó, College Associate Professor.
