Introduction
I graduated from Kossuth Lajos University of Arts and Sciences, Debrecen, as a teacher of English and Russian. I started my career in a secondary school, then continued in a large language school as teacher, head teacher and Director of Studies, which was followed by a few years of freelancing. I have been working at the Budapest Business School since 1997. I completed my PhD Studies at ELTE Budapest, Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology and was awarded Certificate of Completion of Training in 2011.
I also completed the RSA (Royal Society of Arts, Cambridge) Diploma course in 1996, which qualifies me to work as teacher trainer. I have held numerous teacher training and refresher courses to different audiences, mostly on methodology.
My primary field of interest is teaching one-to-one, in which I have carried out research, I have given talks in many Hungarian and international conferences, co-authored a book and I chose it as the topic of my PhD studies. I am also interested in teaching dyslexic students and I use special techniques in my everyday work, if necessary.
At BBS I teach English and Russian for professional purposes and other courses as Career Moves, and four culture-related topics of the Destination Country Studies (Russia) subject. I regularly attend courses for language teachers in Hungary and abroad, e.g. in the Pushkin Institute, Moscow, in 2010, 2012 and 2014. I also develop study and examination materials.
I am also an examiner for the BBS Language Examination Centre.
