The primary task of the Department of Languages for Business Communication is to teach languages for specific purposes. At our faculty, language courses are included as compulsory courses in the curriculum of all Bachelor's (BA/BSc) and Short-Cycle Vocational Programs. Depending on the specialisation, language courses lasting 2-4 semesters are provided by the Department of Languages for Business Communication.
Languages taught:
English, French, German, Italian (for upper-year students only), Russian (for upper-year students only), Spanish, Hungarian as a foreign language
Teaching Business English
The aim of our department is to provide students practical knowledge; therefore, language courses are closely related to professional training. In the classroom, we provide skills-based language teaching, developing all four language skills (speaking, listening comprehension, reading, writing). In addition to language skills, we also develop skills that are advantageous in the labour market (e.g., cooperative, and digital skills, autonomous learning skills).
We are constantly updating our educational material; our instructors regularly use information and communication technologies (ICT) and strive for methodological innovation.
The professional language courses also prepare students for the professional language exams.

Our department offers the following skills development courses:
- presentation skills development (in Hungarian, English and German)
