International Economy and Business MSc

About the programme

The International Economy and Business MSc provides you with comprehensive knowledge of global economic processes and the latest market trends, exploring the business and financial management of international manufacturing and service investments, as well as the international financial environment, financing mechanisms, and trade strategies.

Successful graduates are equipped to pursue high-level roles in multinational corporations, internationally operating small- and medium-sized enterprises, international organisations, and public administration.

If you seek a deeper understanding of global market trends and aspire to work in international corporations or economic organisations, then join our International Economy and Business MSc to learn more about the operations and strategies of multinational corporations, the characteristics of international financial markets, and the structure, transformation, and management of global value chains.

Key features

The English-language version of the International Economy and Business MSc is our most internationally popular programme, and this is partly because it covers one of the broadest fields in economic master's education, ranging from business disciplines to global economic studies, and from economic approaches to social sciences. Therefore, it is perhaps of no surprise that this programme continuously attracts one of the most diverse student bodies, drawing participants from a wide range of economic and educational backgrounds, including many who have previously studied international studies, communication, and media studies at undergraduate level.

Our master’s programme takes an innovative approach to the thesis and final examination system, moving away from traditional methods. During the final two terms, we prepare students to solve industry-specific tasks through professional project-based teaching, and your thesis and final examination will be structured around these practical assignments. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in research projects related to key topics, whether as part of your Student Research Societies work or as a foundation for PhD studies.

Upon completing the programme, you will receive a degree certifying your qualification as an Economist in International Economy and Business.

The International Economy and Business MSc programme is taught at our city centre campus and is also offered full-time in English.
