DOUBLE DEGREE TESTIMONIALS
’’I spent the double degree year at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. I liked studying in Frankfurt and getting to know a new culture and teaching method while studying there. Having a double degree has contributed to my personal development to a great extent. The opportunity of having a chance to study abroad within this program has broadened my perspectives, helped me to become more open-minded, and improved my German language skills. These factors played an important role in being accepted for a Financial Accountant’s position and then being accepted on a Double Degree Master’s Program in Switzerland.’’ (Anett Lőrincz)
’’I have spent my double degree year in Frankfurt am Main, studying at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Participating in the programme was a great experience, I have gathered valuable knowledge in the field of International Business Administration, improved my German and made life-long relationships. In my opinion, having two degrees will provide me a competitive advantage in the world of work in the future.’’ (Éva Molnár)
’’I spent two semesters at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. My reason to take part in a double-degree program was to get an advantage in the labour market and practice German language in the native environment. I really enjoyed my time there, since I got to know a lot of international students and I had the possibility to study in one of the most important and significant business cities of Europe. I was hired by a company in Aachen for my internship, and I believe that the double-degree program in Frankfurt was a good reference in my CV.’’ (Milán Bak)
“In my opinion there are a lot of advantages of participating in the double degree programme. To begin with, the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences is a really good university with professional and experienced professors, I really enjoy going to the classes because other than the study material they share their personal work experience during the lectures, and show me how I can implement the topic I am studying to my life later. It is exciting to see how in an other country people are studying and participating in classes. My English knowledge has also improved a lot due to the fact that now it is the language that I use with all of my friends and professors. It is really different to study here in English compared to BBU, because usually after classes we speak in Hungarian with my course mates, but here it is not really an option. I gained a lot of professional skills here. However, for me the personal skills are more important in this two semester. Being abroad helps to be more independent, more open-minded and pushes you to step out of your comfort zone. I feel more confident since I am here, I have made a lot of friends and a thousand memories so far. We have travelled through Germany with my friends so far and also made little trips to the near countries like the Netherlands and Belgium.“ (Vivien Linkecs)
’’I spent the best year of my student life in Taiwan in our partner school, with the double degree program provided by BBU. I loved being there, the school life was totally different as well. I loved the international environment (with a lot of foreign students together) with teachers from every part of the world. The teaching style is totally different from ours as well 1 class is around 50 people, so we could have more practical classes with plenty of presentations, which taught me how to gain more-and-more confidence not just in English but in Chinese as well. In conclusion I think this Program gave me confidence, knowledge, friends and two degrees which are covering similar range, but different parts of business studies.’’ (Dzsenna Molnár)
’’I spent my double degree year studying at Thomas More in Mechelen, Belgium. Taking part in the program gave me experiences that I will cherish for life, it has definitely changed my views and made me develop a lot both on a personal and a professional level. I think it is a great supplement for the international business management course, not only does it give a boost to your career, but it challenges you in many ways and teaches you how to get use to work in a truly international environment. After returning home I am even more eager to do my internship abroad as well, my goal is Spain as my second language at the university is Spanish, but I am also looking for job opportunities in Germany, Italy and Austria. I am planning to do a master’s degree after graduating, as of right now my main interests are finance and strategy and innovation management.” (Dóra Trombitás)
“So far, I have spent almost 4 whole months here in Würzburg to complete the double degree program. I find it a great opportunity, even though having to navigate through the bureaucracy is rather tedious and at times difficult. I got to experience a different learning culture at FHWS, which I know I will be able to benefit from long term, even when I move back to Hungary to continue my studies. Living in a new country is a great challenge, but it is a fantastic journey of discovering new traditions and ways of living. I would recommend everyone to participate, as it is an amazing opportunity not only when it comes to your education and career, but also to meet and create meaningful relationships with people from all over the world.” (Fanni Kovács)
