Introduction
My name is Dr. Balázs Ferkelt. I conducted my studies at the College of Foreign Trade (Economist in International Business BSc.), at the Faculty of Humanities of Loránd Eötvös University of Sciences (German Literature and Language Teacher M.A.) and at the Faculty of Economics of University of Sciences Pécs (Economist in Business Administration MSc.). During my studies I obtained a certification of tourist guide as well. I hold C1 Language Exams in English, in French, in German and in Spanish and I speak Italian at medium level. Since September 2000 I have been working as full-time lecturer at the Faculty of International Management and Business of Budapest Business School – University of Applied Sciences (and at its predecessor), where I have been teaching modules related to European Union, (foreign) economic policy and international finance. I have been acting since 2006 as Head of Department of my university and I was working between 2008 and 2016 as Vice-rector of Budapest Business School as well. I was working as part-time lecturer for University of Sciences Szeged (2000-2002), University of Sciences Pécs (2001-2003), Heller Farkas College (2003-2008) and I have been working at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania and in the PhD Programme of University of Sciences Pécs.
Besides my teaching and research activities I obtained professional experiences as Adviser of Member of European Parliament (2007), as General Vice-Rector responsible for communication and for international affairs of my university (2009-2016), as Head of Department, Head of Representative Office and Director for Education of the Hungarian National Bank. I was awarded with the Prize ”Hungarians for Europe” in 2017 by the Representation of the European Commission in Hungary and the Prime Minister's Office.
