Introduction

Dr. Beke is an experienced action-oriented professor and researcher. She holds, among other qualifications, two MSc diplomas in education (from ELTE and SZIE) and a diploma in agricultural sciences (SZIE);
With a strong commitment towards students’ social and academic development, Dr. Beke remains passionate about empowering students outside the classroom. Having spent over 30 years in education, she understands just how much teaching can contribute to young people’s employability, particularly where the development of their soft skills is concerned. As a researcher and a teacher of research skills, Dr. Beke is also keenly interested in promoting effective knowledge sharing;
She is currently serving as a full-time associate professor at Budapest Business School (BBS) since 2001. For 15 years, she was the director of the BSc International Business Economics double degree programme where she was closely involved in complex management issues, curriculum and syllabus design in collaboration with partner universities in Europe and Asia. She regularly participates in teacher and staff training mobility programmes.
She has also presented papers at several international conferences, has published more than 50 papers in various journals, is a co-author of a number of books and is an author of two books. She has also been a reviewer for several international scientific journals and conference proceedings;
Although her research interests are broad, she has a particular interest in the economic and social aspects of sustainable development, as well as sustainability in agriculture. Furthermore, as a member of the Sustainability Network at the university, she has also been the organiser of several international scientific conferences, symposia and related programmes on sustainability.
