Introduction
I was born in Kaposvár, in the Zselic region as a member of a long-generation pedagogue family. Both the countryside and the pedagogic attitudes have become determining in my entire carrier. After graduation I attended the Budapest University of Economics (later Corvinus University) on international economics specialisation. Beyond many colleagues my mentality has been shaped by the academic and human attitude of Professor Ferenc Kozma. I was basically involved in strategic analysis of the world economy and international economic relations, which has been extended to the conceptual and methodological questions of strategic foresight. I have been running courses and research projects on these matters at the College of Foreign Trade, Corvinus University of Budapest, ECOSTAT research institute and for the time being at the Budapest Business School in bachelor, masters and PhD levels. Beyond international interests I have always been wedded to my roots: in cooperation with experts also born in the Somogy county, I have been organising programmes and research projects in the Fellowship of People affected for Somogy for twenty years. By the birth of my children their growing up experience has driven me to the intergenerational issues in terms of strategic development. I started to launch development programmes and action research projects on the currently growing up generation that determines the future in some decades. Having graduated again as a primary school teacher at the Károli Gáspár University, I have been participating in the education of primary school children, for four years as a classteacher. Since 2006 Bori Katona, teacher on physical education development and me have created a complex development programme called Drawing by singing. I also participate in the development of talented students by mentoring students’ research papers, participating in the organisation of research competitions and of the College of Advanced Students as well as mentoring PhD students. I am a founding member of the Doctoral School and member of the Doctoral Council.; I was and am a member of several research programmes. As a research director (two times in terms of the National Research Fund) my research focus is on the conceptual-methodological-empirical issues of strategic foresight in terms of international economics, regional network and intergenerational development. I have been a member of several national and international conference boards, book review and round table discussions. I am a regular reviewer of local and international journals and a board member of Futures (Q1) and World Futures Review. I am member of the Futures board within the Statistical-Futures studies board of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as well as I am occasionally asked to participate in different university and national academic boards.; In more than seventy national and international conferences I had the chance to present research result. In terms of publications I could share my ideas in one academic book entitled Strategia Sapiens, one educational book entitled Rajzos Dalolás (Singing by Drawing), three small books, more than 150 academic articles (among them Q1, Q2, Q3 papers), and a special issue of Futures. These efforts have been evaluated by others in terms of citations and awards.
