The BEE Mentorship Program at the Faculty of International Management and Business at Budapest Business University continued its "Intercultural Roadshow" project, under the leadership of Dr. Gabriella Horváth-Csikós, with the involvement of Dr. Nóra Szigetváry and Dr. Szilvia Kiss. The initiative aimed to give secondary school students the opportunity to practice English, enhance cultural awareness through interactions with international students from BBU, and support the university’s admissions campaign.
On Friday, 11 October 2024, 15 international students visited Corvin Mátyás Grammar School in Budapest. The diverse group hailed from countries such as Belarus, Brazil, Egypt, Jordan, Hungary, Mongolia, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, South Africa, Syria and Tunisia.
The university students were assigned to different classrooms, where they engaged with small groups (3-5 people) of high school students, sharing insights about their respective cultures. Topics included food, architecture, folk art, education systems, and hobbies. The high school students participated actively by asking questions and introducing themselves to the international students.
The visit concluded with a guided tour of the school, organized by the high school teachers and students. The tour highlighted the school's facilities, including its libraries, laboratories, art rooms, and sports areas.
