Launched by the Department of Languages for International Business at FIMB, and executed by Dr. Gabriella Horváth-Csikós and Dr. Ahmad Hajeer, the “Intercultural Roadshow” project -as part of the BEE Mentorship Program- started its first activity. The key aims of this project is, first of all, to provide the secondary school’s students the chance to practice English, to promote cultural sensitization among students by offering them the opportunity to communicate with BBS International Students and to contribute to the promotion of the university through an admission campaign.
Ten International Students from FIMB visited Corvin Mátyás Secondary School in the 16th district in Budapest on Dec 2nd. These students come from different backgrounds, namely, Brazil, China, Georgia, Ghana, India, Moldova, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
Upon our arrival at the secondary school, we received a cordial welcoming from the principal and the teaching staff. Afterwards our students delivered presentations in which they introduced the culture of their country, including food, architecture, folklore songs, education system, among others. After the presentation, the school students not only had the opportunity to ask questions, but also to receive BGE branded materials. With the help of our foreign students, we introduced our university to nearly 400 secondary school students and we look forward to welcoming them at BGE soon.
