The BEE Mentorship program, supervised by Dr. Gabriella Horváth-Csikós, Anna Mária Tömöry Anna Mária, and Dr. Ahmad Hajeer and in collaboration with the Department of Languages for International Business, organized the "My Country on the Table" event as part of Babelfest on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Ten countries participated, including Brazil, China, South Africa, Nigeria, the Philippines, Ghana, Georgia, Hungary, Laos, and Kenya. Each country prepared delicious meals and snacks that the students thoroughly enjoyed. In addition to the food, the exhibitors also displayed pictures and videos to showcase their countries further.
Toward the end of the event, the students began dancing and having fun while listening to music from various parts of the world. It was heartening to see the students' keen interest in different cultures and their cuisines. The school's efforts to organize such events are laudable, and it is hoped that more people will be encouraged to try and explore the cuisines of different countries in the future.
