On November 21, students and lecturers from our Belgian partner institution, Thomas More University, visited the BBU Faculty of International Management and Business.
Since the beginning of the semester the students worked in mixed BGE - Thomas More teams on a special project task: they had to find ways to reduce the ecological footprint of the Budapest Sziget Festival and develop a marketing communication strategy for the more environmentally friendly Sziget.
After the official opening of Dr Laura Furcsa faculty head for international affairs, the jury - consisting of BGU and Thomas More lecturers as well as sustainability specialists – and the project participants listened to the presentations of the seven shortlisted teams.
Subsequently, Dominus Ákos Sziget Festival sustainability manager and sustainability expert Lilla Bartuszek gave talks on festival organization and sustainability in general.
The programme ended with a joint sandwich lunch.
Nearly 200 students took part in the inspirational event.
