Organized by the Department of Languages for International Business, the Developing Soft Skills in an International Environment BIP program, comprised of a total of 21 lessons and three subjects, was successfully held during the autumn Intensive Week. The event included three online workshops, three days of in-person training, several cultural and gastronomic events and activities, as well as a full-day Budapest Challenge event.
The online sessions provided the theoretical background in the form of interactive presentations. During the in-person workshops, students had the opportunity to develop the relevant skills in intercultural communication and negotiation situations, as well as to participate in investor pitch simulations followed by discussions and assessments. During the Budapest Challenge program, participants were engaged in putting into practice the soft skills acquired on the BIP course.
A total of 30 students from three foreign universities, that is, the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, the Berlin International University of Applied Sciences and the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, and 15 students from BBU Faculty of Management and Business participated in course. The program was implemented and taught by the lecturers of the Department of Languages for International Business: Dr. Ahmad Hajeer, Dr. Gabriella Horváth-Csikós, Dr. Judit Kónyi, Dr. Károly Polcz and Anna Tömöry.
