At the orientation meeting, you will get the exact contact hours of the coordinators.

Do not forget to contact the teachers because they can provide the most up-to-date information about the courses and the requirements of completion.

Learning agreements can be changed in the first 3 weeks of the lecture period. The modifications have to be fixed in the Changes to the LA document, it has to be taken to the Mobility Office for signature and sending to your home university. We can also manage Online Learning Agreements (OLA).

You can study languages (English, Hungarian, German, Russian) free of charge and get credits.

At the beginning of your studies you will be given a NEPTUN code. You have to use your Neptun code to enter to Neptun system. This is the interface to register your courses and exams.

At the end of your studies, you will get a final Transcript of Records about the courses you studied and the grades and credits you received here.

The Transcript of Records will also contain the duration of your studies in BUEB. Please note that we will certify the real duration of your studies, not a longer period, especially not an extra month. Students usually arrive in early September/February, and leave late December/June, which is 4.5-5 months worth of Erasmus+ grant.

• The concept of time differs across the cultures as well as it differs across the time zones. For example, if a meeting or appointment/ class, etc., is at 8 am, in the BUEB it means it’s at 8 am, or you need to be there few minutes before 8 am. In some cultures it may be acceptable to arrive 15 minutes or an hour later. However, in the BUEB academy people are very sensitive to being on time.
• Deadlines for projects, papers, etc. are highly important. 
• Some professors prefer to be called by their first name, some do not. Usually during the first class professors note how they prefer to be addressed. 
• Syllabus is your roadmap to the class you are taking. Classroom policies are stated in the syllabus.
• In our academic practice, undergraduate students are required to give a credit to the sources they use in their papers, presentation or projects. Thus, citations are required by the academic polices. Different schools or programs may use different citation styles such as APA, MLA, etc. Check with your professors which citation is used for your class.
• Professors may have diverse ways of assessing their students. 

You should check the access to the IT services because it is crucial for your studies. You can find all information about the access to the following systems:

• Neptun: Students can manage study matters online, through the Neptun system (e.g. registering for the semester, registering for subjects and exams); they can trace their performance (electronic- grade book), money matters (e.g. scholarships, student credit), but any other matters, too, can be taken care of with a few clicks, instead of standing in long lines (e.g. applying for a student card or a place in a hall of residence, application for the modification of a tuition fee).
• CooSpace: CooSpace is an online learning environment, which has useful functions for students. It makes communication among students and professors easy and fast. The latter is a fast internal messaging service. The personal document storage space makes it possible to store and organize all the source materials of your courses and subjects well organized into folders. Your access codes are the same as those you use for all the other digital platforms of the school. Please always pay attention which course should be followed on which online surface (CooSpace or Moodle)!
• Moodle: it is also an online learning environment, which has useful functions for students.
