Introduction

Balázs Fajt holds teaching qualifications in English Language and Culture and Hungarian as a Foreign Language from Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. He completed his doctoral studies in the Language Pedagogy Doctoral Programme of the Doctoral School of Education at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), where he obtained his PhD summa cum laude in 2023.
He has been teaching at Budapest University of Economics and Business since 2017, delivering courses in Business English, English for Specific Purposes and Hungarian as a Foreign Language. Alongside his teaching, he supervises bachelor's theses and student research papers prepared for the Scientific Students' Associations Conference (TDK). His teaching is characterised by a student-centred, practice-oriented approach, with particular emphasis on developing independent thinking and research skills and on the purposeful use of innovative digital solutions.
In addition to his work at BUEB, he teaches courses in language development, research methodology, descriptive grammar and varieties of English at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. At the Doctoral School of Linguistics of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, he teaches research methodology and also serves as a doctoral supervisor.
