Introduction

I have been teaching Communication and East-Asia (with a focus on Japan) related subjects on BA, MA and Doctoral level at Hungarian universities BGF, BGE; SZF; etc. (in Hungarian/English/Japanese languages); internationally: Germany/Tübingen (EN/JP); Ukraina/Kiev (EN-master); Japan/Kanda, Waseda and Shirayuri universities (2001-2006) in English and in Japanese BA, MA, Doctoral / Ryukoku University and Sapporo University, Kobe University (EN master); Josai International University: EN BA, MA and PhD programs; Taiwan (Intercultural Communication EN master); University of Warsaw (on Intercultural management EN and JP),etc.
Awards:
1994: Citoyenette d’Honneur Sociale ‘Pro Pace et Unitate Senatori e Meritu Honoris Causa’ (Council of Europe);
2000: Trefort Ágoston díj (OM);
2005: Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon (japán állami kitüntetés);
2005: Brassai Sámuel díj (MANYE=Magyar Alkalmazott Nyelvészek Egyesülete)
2013: Szentgyörgyi Albert díj (EMMI)
2022: Balogh Artúr Érdemérem (EMTE Sapientia, Kolozsvár)
2023: FIPLV International Award Certificate of Honour

  • 1989founder of the Oriental Communication Institute at the College of Foreign Trade (later renamed as Budapest Business School)
  • 1989-1998director of the Japanese studies program
  • 1998-2001Deputy Head of Bilateral relations at the Hungarian Ministry of Education
  • 2001-2006professor of communications at Kanda University of International Studies (Japan)
  • 2006-2012Dean of the Faculty of International Management and Business at Budapest Business School
  • 2005she was decorated with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon (Japan), for advancing Japanese language education and developing civil ties between Japan and Hungary.
