Introduction

Nikolett Szandra Beck graduated from the University of Pécs in 2011 with a degree in English Philology and secondary school teaching qualifications. She began her teaching career while still at university, delivering Business English and language examination-preparation courses, an experience that laid the foundation for her professional development.
After graduation, she taught English for Hospitality and general English at the Hajópincér and Best Mixer School for seven and a half years. During this time, she helped more than a thousand students develop the language skills required for employment abroad, placing particular emphasis on practical communication and spoken interaction. Her teaching philosophy continues to focus on developing confident, functional language competence in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
As an Erasmus exchange student, she spent one semester at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands. This international experience broadened her academic perspective and had a lasting influence on her approach to teaching, reinforcing her commitment to creating an open, student-centred learning environment.
At BUEB, she has found a professional environment where she can continue to develop as an educator while combining her interests in Business English, Hospitality and Tourism, and Languages for Specific Purposes.
