Introduction

Péter Kövér has been teaching German for Specific Purposes at BUEB for more than twenty-five years. Throughout his teaching career, he has sought to help students not only build a solid command of the language but also develop an understanding of the cultural characteristics and subtle nuances of professional communication. He believes that successful language use requires more than grammatical accuracy and vocabulary; it also depends on an appreciation of the cultural context, communication styles and intercultural awareness that shape authentic interaction.

His teaching places particular emphasis on the development of communication skills, effective learning strategies and the transferable skills that support students' long-term language development. His aim is to help students communicate confidently, authentically and with cultural sensitivity in international professional environments.

Alongside his extensive teaching experience, he is actively involved in language assessment and the development of professional language examinations, contributing to the continuous enhancement of language education.
