Dr habil. Beke is an experienced, action-oriented associate professor and researcher with over 30 years of experience in education. She holds two MSc degrees in Education (from Eötvös Loránd University and Szent István University) and a degree in Agricultural Sciences (from GATE). She is strongly committed to supporting students’ academic and personal development. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to empowering students beyond the classroom, with particular emphasis on enhancing employability and developing soft skills. As both a researcher and a lecturer, she is especially interested in fostering effective knowledge sharing. Since 2001, she has been a full-time associate professor at the Budapest University of Economics and Business. For 15 years, she served as Director of the BSc International Business Economics double degree programme, where she was actively involved in programme management, curriculum development, and syllabus design in close cooperation with partner universities across Europe and Asia. She has regularly participated in international teaching and staff mobility programmes. She has presented at numerous international conferences and has published more than 100 academic papers. She is the author of two books and co-author of several others, and has served as a reviewer for international scientific journals. Her research interests focus primarily on the economic and social dimensions of sustainable development, particularly sustainability in agriculture. As a member of the university’s Sustainability Network, she has organised several international scientific conferences, symposia, and related academic events on sustainability. She was awarded her habilitation in 2023. Her habilitation thesis was entitled “The Prospects for the Relocalisation of Food Production in Hungary.”
