Rules for the BGE Budapest Bingo Challenge
1. Eligibility
The challenge is open to first-year international students of BGE who have an active student status during the Fall semester.
Participation is free of charge.
2. Duration of the Challenge
The challenge will run from 2026.08.31. until 2027.01.31.
Only activities completed and content published during this period will be accepted.
3. How to Participate
Participants must complete the activities listed on the official 4 × 4 BGE Budapest Bingo card.
To validate a completed square, the participant must:
- take an original photo or short video while completing the activity;
- appear in the photo or video, or otherwise clearly demonstrate their participation;
- share the content in an Instagram Story or post;
- include the official hashtag #BGEBingo;
- tag the official BGE Instagram account @bge.international
More than one square may be presented in the same post, provided that each completed activity can be clearly identified.
4. Instagram Stories and Private Accounts
As Instagram Stories disappear after 24 hours, participants must save their entries in a dedicated “BGE Bingo” Instagram Highlight until their participation has been verified.
Participants with a private Instagram account must ensure that the official BGE Instagram account can view their content. Alternatively, they may submit screenshots of their Stories via international@uni-bge.hu .
Participants must keep the original photos, videos or screenshots until the end of the challenge.
5. Completing a Bingo
A participant completes a Bingo by successfully completing:
- one full horizontal row;
- one full vertical column; or
- one of the two main diagonals.
Each row, column or diagonal consists of four squares.
A participant completes the entire Bingo card by successfully completing all 16 activities.
The same square may contribute to more than one row, column or diagonal. However, each activity may only be submitted once.
6. Rewards
Participants who complete one full row, column or diagonal will receive a small BGE surprise.
Participants who complete all 16 squares will receive a larger reward.
7. Safety and Appropriate Conduct
Participants complete the activities at their own responsibility and must:
- follow all applicable laws and the rules of the visited locations;
- avoid dangerous, disruptive or inappropriate behaviour;
- cover any entrance fees, travel costs or other expenses related to completing the activities.
No activity requires participants to enter a location or take part in an activity they consider unsafe or unsuitable.
8. Content Requirements
Submitted content must not contain:
- offensive, discriminatory or inappropriate material;
- dangerous or illegal behaviour;
- content that infringes another person’s rights, privacy or intellectual property;
- commercial advertising unrelated to the challenge.
The organiser may reject any submission that does not comply with these requirements.
9. Data Protection and Use of Submitted Content
The organiser will process participants’ personal data only for the administration and verification of the challenge, in accordance with applicable data protection rules and BGE’s relevant privacy notice.
By tagging the official BGE account, participants acknowledge that BGE may contact them regarding their submission.
BGE may only repost or use a participant’s photo or video on its official communication channels with the participant’s separate permission. Participation in the challenge does not automatically grant BGE permission to use the content for promotional purposes.
10. Exclusion from the Challenge
The organiser may exclude a participant if they:
- provide false or misleading evidence;
- submit content created by another person without permission;
- manipulate their submission;
- fail to comply with these rules;
- behave in a way that may damage the reputation of BGE or endanger others.
11. Acceptance of the Rules
By submitting a completed Bingo card, participants confirm that they have read, understood and accepted these rules.
