Pannónia Scholarship Programme – Support for Compulsory Traineeship Abroad - Academic Year 2025/2026


1. About the Programme 

The Office for International Relations of Budapest University of Economics and Business (BUEB) announces a Call for Applications within the framework of the Pannónia Programme to support the completion of compulsory traineeships abroad. 

 
The mobility period must start from 1st May 2026 and must be concluded by the 31st August 2026 at the latest. The Pannónia programme can provide 
funding for a period of 2 months. 

 
Within the Pannónia Programme, funding is available exclusively for compulsory traineeships that form part of the academic curriculum. 


Please note: It is the student's responsibility to find an internship and initiate the process and submit the (Preliminary) Acceptance Letter along with the application.

2. Eligibility Criteria 

 Applicants must: 

  • Be registered to an ACTIVE semester. 
  • Be enrolled in:
  • a Full-Degree BA (Bachelor) 
  • or Higher Education Vocational Training (FOSZK) programme. 
  • Demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency of level B2. 
  • Show motivation and readiness to represent the University abroad. 
  • Ensure that the traineeship is academically relevant, fits into your study programme and the host organization/company is able to host you for the required time period. Programme-specific minimum working hour requirements may vary by study programme. 
  • Be eligible to apply for the Compulsory Traineeship course. It is the responsibility of the student to review the requirements (min. semesters/completed credits/completed courses) in their study programme on the following websites:

Students participating in the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme are unfortunately not eligible due to restrictions on double financing.
 


3. Application Process and Deadline
 


The deadline for submitting applications is: 
15th April 2026 (23:59 CET) 


Applications must be submitted through the DreamApply system at the following link:

4. Required Documents and Selection Criteria
 

  • Registry Record (Törzslap) – downloaded from Neptun 
  • Proof of English language proficiency (minimum B2) 
  • Residence Permit – in case of foreign students 
  • (Preliminary) Acceptance Letter – stating that your selected organization/company is able to host you for your internship period that you have applied for (max. 2 months Pannonia Scholarship funding). 
  • Motivation letter – typed in the corresponding section of the application form 

You must meet the formal requirements of the application. The selection will be based on the cumulative corrected credit index, motivation letter and scientific and social activities. Please explain these and your reasons for the professional international internship in the motivation letter.  


5. Support and Costs
 

The scholarship is awarded for a period of 2 months, which is paid in a lump-sum after the Grant Agreement is signed. Below you can see the list of scholarship amounts by country. 

I. Country Group – Highest cost of living countries

400,000 HUF/month

Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cook Islands, Denmark, East Timor, Faroe Islands, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Kiribati, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Monaco, Nauru, Netherlands, New Zealand, Niue, Norway, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, San Marino, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tonga, Tuvalu, United Kingdom, United States, Vanuatu

II. Country Group – Medium cost of living countries

375,000 HUF/month

350,000 HUF/month

Please note that accommodation, travel, and meals are not covered. 
Students must organize these individually.
